    Shark is good eatin

My local grocery store does not get shark in very often. Then sometimes when they do, it just doesn't quiet look like I want it to. I want to see white steaks that look sort of like a New York Strip only white with some pink lines running through it. I hit gold this last trip. It looked so good I did not think to ask them what kind of shark. It doesn't really matter because I buy it by sight. Although in hind sight it would be nice to know.

I typically like to grill it but today I didn't have time. So I pan fried it on high heat and added a sweat teriyaki type glaze. Came out perfect. I am having a side salad with it.

It is not fishy at all. It has the consistency of a tender pork chop. I like the density of it and prefer it over swordfish.

    Any of you like shark?

Jeff S(hark) with 7 scoreless and a win last night, so feel free to discuss.

also, you food people need to weigh in on whether you have ever eaten (animal) shark, what sort of glaze it should get, etc.

You mean this from my original post?

    yes, I read that.
"you food people" would consist of the food people on the site who did not already post - which is all of them but one.

Ah, thank you for the clarification.

It would seem that Fresno Bob and I are the only ones that eat shark.
