  • Rank these SP 1 through 6?

NL Only, 4X4 (No Ks) $260:

Going into my 29th auction in an extremely deep keeper league.

How would you rank these SP 1 through 6?

I don't really care about ADP as much as I do ROI.

The following hurlers are available in the FA pool, and I am hoping to come out of the auction with 3 of them:

    Alex Reyes
    Dakota Hudson
    Jhoulys Chacin
    Jimmy Nelson
    Freddy Peralta
    Anibal Sanchez

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, no Nelson love. The names above him have upside, but Nelson does have a job....that is worth something. I'd put him above Hudson and Peralta (who I like a lot, but they don't seem to want him to start for some reason).

If it's a keeper league, I'd got with Reyes at the top...sooner or later, the odds say that he's got to get/stay healthy for a period of time. I'd discount Nelson at this point, since he was supposed to be back last year by mid-season, he has to prove it. No fan of Freddie Peralta, but I do like Sanchez and Chacin, but nearer th bottom of your list. How's that for confusing jumble?

              I'd put them like this:

              Alex Reyes
              ~
              ~
              Anibal Sanchez
              Freddy Peralta
              ~
              Jhoulys Chacin
              Jimmy Nelson
              ~
              Dakota Hudson

Okay. ALL of these guys have substantial risk of both skills implosion and injury, so let's set that aside. Reyes is, by a wide mile, the best pitcher on this list. He has the best skill set, the highest upside, plays on the best team, and in a decent park for SPs. It's not close for me. He's #1 on this list very easily.

After that, it gets a little tighter. Those next four are, in effect, four versions of the same pitcher: iffy starters with dubious history and little job security, except that Peralta/Chacin/Nelson all play for a team that needs them so bad.

Hudson feels, to me, to be a man without a role. Maybe he'll be stuck in middle relief.

                Agree with Dane
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

Today it was announced Paralta will get a shot in the rotation. Maybe he is the one bumped when Nelson gets back. IDK. But I agree with Dane that Reyes is light years ahead of the rest in terms of raw pitching stuff. Peralta is second to be, though.nhe could run with this chance.
