and then there were two ... if I'm reading this right, if Michigan State goes on, then the only way Judge Jude can win is if Virginia wins it all ... otherwise it's 1J; if Michigan State loses then all JJ needs is for Virginia to make it to the finals to win

That looks right. JJ can finish 1st or 2nd. I can finish 1st, 2nd, or 4th.

oof, if Michigan State wins the title, I lose the pool by a score of 96-95

as for VA-AUB game:

yes, they refs blew the double dribble call - which was critical (well, it's never called but it was still wrong).
the last shot was an obvious foul, after a couple of replays.

to close the circle, they should look at the lack of a foul call on Auburn with Jerome driving to the hoop with Virginia up 9 with 5 minutes left. if he's going to the line there with only 3 fouls and a chance to go up by 11, no chance Auburn comes back.

instead, Jerome - who is not a dumb player - is so frustrated that he foolishly commits his 4th foul immediately, setting the stage for the Auburn comeback as Jerome sits on the bench. that sequence was an enormous part of the homestretch.

I can't ever remember thinking that about a sequence with that amount of time left, but in this case it pretty obviously changed the game dramatically.
