Something else we could try: another decades draft, but eliminating everyone taken in VD13 from the player pool. We’d probably need to get rid of the 1870’s for hitting.

I had a similar idea, but inverted ... and errrrrr ... "somewhat" convoluted.

So we all draft as per normal, then we redraft. But you can't draft any player you previously drafted.

And, you can only draft from the pool of players on the other teams.

We repeat this, with the player pool size reducing with each redraft.

In order to compensate for the lower player pool, we eliminate slots (C, SS, P etc) with each redraft.

With each draft and redraft you accumulate points based on your finish.

If at any point you can't field a full squad, you get eliminated, with your team locked at its present points total.

We keep drafting until all teams are eliminated.

The final points totals are accumulated, and the winner declared.

*crickets* ensue ...

All that seems really convoluted.

I’d be up for a real decades draft — just the 2000s, or the 1990s, the 1980s, etc. Or even a 20-year period.

They were here on the new site. I'll check when I get home. We definitely did a deadball era draft. And I think the middle period also. Not sure if we did a modern era draft though.
