    • Additional playerID oddities:

      On the season sheets (not the career sheets) these were wrong:

      martijd01->martijd02
      mccutan01->mccutan01
      sanchga01->sanchga02
      devench01->devench02

      And Sam Gray had Dolly Gray's playerID listed (as discussed in the commentary thread).

          Awesome! Data entry (Ken Work) begone. I for one will bow down to our new algorithm overlords if it means I don't have to do data entry.

            Wait ... we're using the apostrophes in the player codes now?

            I'm going to do it for now ... because the alternative is Ken Work. But is that the way we want to go?

                It is the BR ID. I posted the list of changes above.

                      Thanks, that's my fault choosing the wrong Jim O'Rourke to put into the spreadsheet - sorry!!!

                          • Is it something weird about the way LibreOffice imported the spreadsheet that it looks like all of the players are KO'ed? The formula looks like =IF(ISNA(MATCH(C2,pick!#ref!,0)),0,"KO")
                            In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

I'm sure there's a reason for it, but obviously we're not doing that for John Ward or Dave Foutz, so if there was a good reason for it, I don't think it still matters? It's one of those Chesterton's Fence things...I wish I remember why we used the 99s.
