You can't help but be awed by it.

      • Frankly, I'm concerned that we are not maximizing our post-total opportunities by posting things about VD XIV in the XIV thread instead of here. Every post over there is a post taken away from here.

American West is just so full of beauty.

Utah is one state I have yet to visit.

Some day I want to go and explore it.

That and Wyoming are at the top of my list.

I don't know when I'll get the chance.

Nostalgia from my Grand Canyon visit is coming back.

          • Always take the opportunity.

Traveling is something you never regret.

            Likewise, spending time in nature.

Again, I can't say it too much.

National Parks are special for a reason.

Tetons are one I definitely want to see.

            And Yellowstone, of course.

Zion is pretty amazing as well. Unfortunately we couldnt hike the narrows, where you rent water shoes and hike up an amazing river canyon. Probably my favorite hike ever

Yellowstone and the Tetons are fantastic.

Practically everything you've written here is exactly how I view things.

Everyone I've ever met has been glad they've traveled or spent time in nature.

Never hear "I just spent too much time on vacation" on one's death bed!

Isn't it funny how people neglect the important things and then, all of a sudden, life has just passed on by?

                  Suckers.

Poker wrecked a lot of games and genres for me. Hard to motivate yourself to level up or gain XP when you were used to playing in tourneys with 100k+ real money for first place.
I liked everything about DoS2. I especially liked the cool and varied tactics your group can employ in the individual fights. I normally don't go much for that X-Com turn-based strategy stuff but Divinity just had the best damn fights. I was setting up elaborate traps and creating all kinds of complicated environments for the fights - normally I kind of just want to go in guns a blazin'. The game is a cool mix of easy to play while also being as complex as you'd like to make it.

Freedom to travel more would be awesome.

Unless it was in Antarctica during the winter, or something.

                      Couldn't see anything but snow.

Kiss your toes goodbye from frostbite.

Or maybe your fingers, too, for that matter.

Freezing in a frozen wasteland, dying alone, unloved.

For what? A little unwise adventure.

                        Oops indeed.

                        How could you do that?

                        Not really with it?

Or having a power outage again?

                        Electricity problems are the worst.

Some day we will upgrade our national electric grid.

Never realized Hughie Jennings' had the career record for HBP.
