        Tempting to go with iconic with a top-3 pick, but I've seen this on several best album cover lists and it's just laughable to me. When I solicited suggestions for covers for my wall among a group of friends, this was the 1st response from one of the wives. I immediately replied "whammy".

          This album cover mesmerized many, including myself, for the whole "Paul is Dead" conspiracy. Why is Paul barefoot? Why does it look like a funeral procession? The license plate reads "28IF," which Paul would have been 28 if he was alive.

          For the entire month of October 1969, much of the world thought McCartney was dead. In November 1969, Life magazine ran a cover photo of Paul McCartney with the title, "Paul is Still With Us." So much nonsense, lol.

            Could be iconic, as well. This cover was designed and intended to reflect both the mood and lyrics of the LP, and I think they nailed it. The artwork is stunning (acrylic on illustration board), and done by Don Brautigam, who passed away in 2008.

            Of course, the only reason I got this is elD isn't in this draft.
            I'm just here for the baseball.

              It’s simple in design but powerful in meaning, especially with how well the themes of the album correlate.
