I find this quite surprising

What is the workaround for stock transactions? I am confident there is one.

call me old fashioned, and yes I am a dopey, and now scorned, lifelong independent - but maybe we can just focus on the life of the man who has just passed - at least until Thursday.

not that his family will ever know, or care, but class never goes out of style.

maybe we can try for as much of that as we can.

and someday I will salute ex President Jimmy Carter just as much - and when the time comes, discourage just as much opportunity points.

Yes, i found it to be very moving. Nothing worse than the loss of a young child. You just never get over it--even 65 years later.
I thought Alan Simpson was great too

Every VP since 1977 is at President Bush’s funeral, except one. Mondale, Quayle, Gore, Cheney, Biden, and Pence are there. The only one missing is President Reagan’s VP, George HW Bush.

As a pop of two young boys, I'd hope to one day earn the admiration HW earned from W. As much prestige as being one of the distinguished few who have led our country carries, more impressive to me is that he seems to have left a legacy as a great father, husband, friend, soldier, and servant to this country.

W, obviously an experienced speaker, never faltered even when talking about the death of a young sister he doesn't even remember.

but in his last words of praise, he couldn't quite avoid his tears. even in a somber ceremony, the audience couldn't resist applauding as he returned to his seat. the guy gave it all he had.

he talked of the many mentors his father had, including "the most unlikeliest of all" - Bill Clinton, sitting in that front row.
