It was the Times, so there you go.

They are still following the rules, so I don't get your complaint.

First I am definitely not lol but thanks. Secondly I think Rasmussen had republicans winning the house in 2018 so while not a good night for cook on those likely lean D races and definitely not a good night for Dems in the house that 2018 prediction was pretty bad.

Lastly putting a bow on the 2020 Presidential election Biden moved 4 full points ahead today and over 6 million votes ahead

Joseph R. Biden Jr. was elected the 46th president of the United States. See full results and maps from the 2020 presidential election.

        • Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama today:
“In my judgment, if only lawful votes by eligible American citizens were cast, Donald Trump won the Electoral College by a significant margin, and Congress’s certification should reflect that,” Brooks said. “This election was stolen by the socialists engaging in extraordinary voter fraud and election theft measures.”

It goes without saying that he provided absolutely no evidence.

Trump says so is a kind of evidence. Not admissible or good evidence, mind you, but bad evidence is a kind of evidence.

            • I tried really hard to stop spending any effort on responding to the clear and present danger Trump has posed and continues to pose to our democracy once he lost, because these are just the death knells of a tyrant, but this speech is just so inflammatory, and the thousands of responses to this video show just how much many believe everything he is saying and are enraged by it--many are calling for war....there are dozens of comments on this video right now, that I am sure will be deleted by Youtube, that are calling for the shooting of traitors that are supporting Biden, that are seeing this video as a rallying cry for civil war. He is desperately trying to incite violence in his name, with completely fabricated claims with no support that nonetheless ring true for millions of Americans. It is a dark time for our country and I cannot wait until he officially is out of office so we can maybe begin to claw ourselves out of the hole filled with shit he has sunk us into.

Anyone who sees and understands he is lying who still dismisses those outraged by him as being hyperbolic and suffering from TDS is worse, in my mind, than the mindless ditto heads who believe those lies. You see what he is doing and refuse to label it for what it is. And those like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh that amplify this message are just as guilty as he is. What he and they are doing is infinitely more offensive and damaging to me than people kneeling for an anthem. He is doing more damage to our democracy than a million commies burning our flag every time he opens his mouth or moves his tiny fingers to tweet. But at least we know where he has been since the election--practicing this speech. Because this is the most coherent he has ever sounded, even if every word out of his mouth is a lie.

All I can say is wow. He is so unhinged and out of touch with the reality of our election process. Pa GOP legislators are trying to say that the law they (the GOP) passed allowing mail in voting is illegal and all the mail in votes should be disqualified. In Wisconsin, Trump is against the laws the GOP passed 4 years ago (that helped him in 2016) are fraudulent now.

Too many people listen to every word he says.

                • Does anyone think Trump may secretly want the GOP to lose the Senate in Georgia, because if he can't win, he doesn't want to see the GOP win without him? He doesn't seem to be too concerned that his backers are trying to stop Republicans from voting in the Georgia run off: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...Hn2?li=BBnb7Kz

Attorneys Lin Wood and Sidney Powell told a crowd of Trump loyalists not to vote for either of the two Georgia incumbent Republican senators, Kelly Loeffler or David Perdue, during a "Stop the Steal" gathering in Atlanta.

The event, billed as a "press conference" but resembling the raucousness of a Trump rally, was filled with wild conspiracies and falsehoods about last month's election won by President-elect Joe Biden. Attention also turned to the two runoff elections that will decide control of the U.S. Senate.

"Where is Kelly Loeffler here? Where is David Perdue?" said Wood, who unsuccessfully sued Georgia seeking to stop the presidential election's certification. "He ought to be standing right here."

"Do not be fooled twice," he added. "This is Georgia. We ain't dumb. We're not going to vote on Jan. 5 on another machine made by China. You're not going to fool Georgians again. If Kelly Loeffler wants your vote, if David Perdue wants your vote, they've got to earn it."

But Wood said the Georgia senators must "demand publicly, repeatedly, consistently" for Republican Gov. Brian Kemp to call a special legislative session to address the 2020 presidential election.

"And if they do not do it, they have not earned your vote. Don't you give it to them. Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election? For God's sake, fix it. You've got to fix it before you do it again."

                    • I still think Perdue losing a a huge longshot, but if, somehow he does, what fantastic comeuppance that would be for McConnell and the rest that continue to indulge this president and his lies to the American people.

It is noteworthy to me, because this isn't some incoherent tweets. This is a long, detailed recitation of lies meant to enrage his millions of supporters. It is a full-throated call to action against democracy in the name of defending democracy. It is a 45 minute plea for a revolution in his name, to usurp the will of the majority in our democracy. And based on the many comments I read, before they got deleted, many seem eager to take up arms in his name. He has zealots claiming they are ready to die for him/freedom, and to kill those who are taking their president away from them.

I'll get worried once the revolution starts....until then I'll just ignore him like i have the last 4 years.

Edit: not trying to be a douche, but I just don't see the point of giving him more attention.

I've met a lot of Trump supporters, but I've never met one who I think would have any desire to die for him. Maybe I just lead a sheltered life.

Believe me, I want to. I have done so since the election, mostly. But this video was posted today and has nearly 2.5 million views already, and tons of comments showing that my assumption/hope that Trump was whining alone in the woods and everyone else was just humoring him as he did so was false. His base is buying these consistent claims of corruption and fraud. His strategy of repeating a lie again and again is doing what he wants it to do. I have assumed that all this foot stomping and pouting would amount to absolutely nothing in the end. But it continues and I am seeing evidence that it could boil over. Maybe not widespread to where it will affect you directly. But I fear at least one person, maybe some civil servant doing a thankless job in one of these states, will be murdered in Trump's name. I know that person would be just one of the thousands of deaths Trump is responsible for, but just as I cannot help be furious at those that have enabled his other murders, it sickens me to see what may be coming and to think of that election official in Georgia or Arizona or Wisconsin that I can envision dying because Trump won't admit to his followers that he lose in a fair election. I hope I am wrong, but he is doing everything in his power to make that happen. It's like watching someone wave a loaded gun around and I am hoping it doesn't go off.

Ever met one who you think might kill for him? If not, I'm glad for you that you live where you live. I've met those that I believe, though they have not stated so explicitly to me, that they think they would be doing a good thing to kill someone trying to destroy democracy by cheating Joe Biden into office and getting rid of Trump. I know people who believe completely that the socialist are really after them personally, but good ol Trump is in their way, protecting them, and America. I'm sure almost none of them will actually go that far. But I fear a handful might.
