Trump can't run a casino, so I'll give him money? From a casino mogul? When the hell did I wake up in Bizarro world?

    • October election surprise this cycle so laughably weak even Fox refused to run it:

"Trump and pro-Trump media outlets are frustrated that the story Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani passed to the tabloid newspaper the New York Post is not getting the traction they want. The story of three laptops, abandoned at a repair shop by Biden’s son Hunter, that just happened to have incriminating evidence that ended up in Giuliani’s hands, was flagged almost instantly as having the hallmarks of Russian disinformation.

Today more than 50 former senior intelligence officers signed a letter to that effect, warning that Russia was, once again, interfering in our elections.
Even though intelligence officers warned the White House that Russian intelligence was targeting Giuliani, Trump’s team stands behind the story, and is reportedly putting pressure on FBI director Christopher Wray to announce an investigation into the issue. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Representative Devin Nunes (R-CA), and Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) have all been pushing the story.

Today, the president exploded at a reporter, calling him “a criminal for not reporting” on the Hunter Biden story. Trump loyalist John Ratcliffe, the Director of National Intelligence—which places him at the head of our intelligence services—defended the Biden story and insisted it is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign. He told the Fox News Channel: “That's something the American people should consider as they go in & look at elections & everything that's going on in this country ... we have the opportunity to bring truth."
Ratcliffe’s partisanship shocked CIA veteran John Sipher, who tweeted: “Stunningly inappropriate. Intelligence leaders should be focused on collecting and analyzing foreign national security information. This is domestic, partisan politics and out-of-bounds.”

The news broke today that Fox News Channel executives passed on the Biden story, thinking it was not credible. Now, of course, it is reporting on the fight over the story, so it is sort of having it both ways, but the fact that the story was too iffy even for FNC speaks volumes. Also today, Facebook suspended the account of Andrii Derkach, the Ukrainian politician associated with Giuliani and the Biden story. Treasury officials have identified Derkach as a Russian operative. Facebook took down his page “for violating our policy against the use of our platform by people engaged in election-focused influence operations.”
Also today, the Department of Justice indicted 6 Russian military intelligence officers for computer hacks around the world that cost billions of dollars and disrupted a number of different societies. Thomas P. Bossert, Trump’s first homeland security adviser, who is now the president of a security firm, told New York Times reporters Michael S. Schmidt and Nicole Perlroth: “The G.R.U.’s hackers operate as a strategic arm of the Russian state, and they have been using this cybertool as a military weapon in a military campaign.”

Last cycle the wikileaks dumps, to obscure, always mere hours after some trump travesty that should have ended his run was there. This cycle the same russian backed disinformation play is not working though as stated, as proven, in stark detail in Mueller report, "The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion," that playbook is falling short so far, but 2 weeks to go is miles of road.

      • The rise of QAnon from a small movement of internet trolls tricking some gullible people online to a mainstream right-wing movement embraced by major factions of the Republican Party will go down as one of the stupidest things in American history. It shows that Trump is not the cause of our fall into idiocy, he is merely an effect. It wasn't a fluke that a reality tv charlatan got elected president in this country. It is a by-product of our growing idiocy, which Trump eagerly feeds. Millions of people will literally believe anything, if it suits them better than reality. Luckily, the majority are no so dumb, but it is more proof that we need to shift to one-vote, one-person. The arguments for maintaining the electoral college are all partisan nonsense. My vote in NY should count for at least as much as some QAnon believer in Kentucky.

The entire nation should be as embarrassed as Jeffrey Toobin right now for being in a country with such nonsense center stage, where QAnon political candidates are actually going to win seats in our government. Actually, I'd prefer to live in a country where millions got caught wanking on Zoom than on believing in QAnon. At least I understand the biological imperative behind the former stupidity.

Welp, doesn’t have any impact on me - I don’t celebrate it. Guess I’ll vote Biden.

I was on the fence, but anyone who can time travel to before he takes office in January to cancel Christmas is clearly a being beyond space and time worthy of my vote.

It always amuses me when they say "no, you are dumb for listening to all the mainstream media fake news".

My response - I don't listen to ANY of that for my opinions on Trump - I form my opinion solely on his own words.

                      Response - crickets.

BTW, he'll still be President at Christmas -- win or lose.

The problem is that you don't listen beyond what he says to what you want him to be saying. His words are purposefully filled with gibberish, because he speech is abstract art. You have to look at the lines and see the hidden meaning.

Haven't seen it discussed anywhere so this is purely conjecture, but would you put it past him to just quit if he loses?

I think he'll spend 2 months pardoning people.
