it's nice of Rodgers to spot his division opponents a McCarthy coach slot per year.

with a good high school coach, there would be no stopping him.

McCarthy needs to learn many things. among them:
    - you can't blow 2 2nd-half timeouts early in a close game.
    - even so, if you can get the game-deciding long catch/actually a fumble overturned, you do so.
    - with only one timeout left, you can't punt late on 4th and 2.

he may not be the worst coach in the league, but he's the worst coach by far of a good team.

    THURSDAY night
Packers 4-5-1 lost to Seahawks 5-5

    SUNDAY early
    TEXANS 6-3 at REDSKINS 6-3
    TITANS 5-4 at Colts 4-5
    Bengals 5-4 at Ravens 4-5
    Cowboys 4-5 at Falcons 4-5

    SUNDAY later
    Eagles 4-5 at SAINTS 8-1

    SUNDAY night
    VIKINGS 5-3-1 at BEARS 6-3

    MONDAY night
CHIEFS 8-1 vs RAMS 8-1 NOT in Mexico City (!)

          Giants?

they are currently 5th (though this can change a lot each week, depending on how feeble each team's sked is. head-to-head results don't even count in draft ranks, it's all about "the worst team in a tie record is the one that managed that record against the crappier opponents.")

            Yes.

BTW, the Bills are not "seeking a QB" after they used a 1st rounder on Josh Allen this past draft.

Trubisky hurt his shoulder at the end of the game. Might be Chase Daniel time! Ugh.
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

This game is insane. I have no idea what McVay is doing at the end of this game.

First game in NFL history with both teams scoring 50+ points, and 3rd highest scoring game ever.

amazing that the coaches of both teams tonight in an exciting game have little understanding of clock management.

finally, something that both baby boomers and millennials can relate to!

that said, I don't see both of these teams in a Super Bowl rematch with young QBs who make mistakes.

McVay really got saved by his defense at the end there.

As fun as that game was, I don't see either of these teams winning it all, especially as the weather gets colder and they run up against tougher defenses and teams with good running games that can shorten the game and keep the offense off the field for long stretches.

Who are those teams though? Weather, sure, but seems like there are not a lot of good defenses coupled with running games out there right now.

The Patriots and Bears can give them problems. To a lesser extent the Steelers and Chargers. And of course there’s the Saints.

I like the veteran QBs over the New Kids on the Block in the playoffs.

I agree that all of those teams can give them problems, but I'm not sure it is because of strong D. Take a look at the Chargers-Chiefs game, Steelers-Chiefs game and Rans-Saints games.
