Passan says the Rangers will receive prospects Brock Burke, Eli White, Kyle Bird, Yoel Espinal and international bonus pool money, while the Rays will get reliever Emilio Pagan, prospect Rollie Lacy and a competitive balance pick.
Milwaukee trades Domingo Santana to Seattle for Ben Gamel
Does he start? I dont see where. Bruce, smith, hanigan in the OF, EE at DH. Unless they move bruce, he seems like a 4th OFer. A shame as I think he has potential if given a chance.

I'd guess, knowing them, they'll move one of them soon.

EE is going to be gone, there's no way that Seattle carries that contract into the season with the re-build that they're doing.

In any case, getting Santana for Gamel was highway robbery. What was MLW thinking?
I'm guessing that the Brewers simply wanted a little more flexibility, cost control, and a reserve who'll be OK if he has to play, and not make waves when he doesn't.
Not a huge call for a player who's essentially a DH, no matter how good his bat might be.

You're right, but the market for EE has got to be really thin : how many AL teams that aren't rebuilding don't have a half decent option at DH already ... maybe the rays but that ship likely sailed when the trade was first made... maybe the twins... I don't really see any other matches
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.
