I've always assumed the premise in the original post to be true. I think the capacity for sexual attraction to the same sex is in all of us, to varying degrees. Some are more open to acknowledging and exploring that attraction than others. I'm fully hetero in deed, but not so much in thought. There are males I have found and do find sexually attractive. I've just never felt compelled to act on that attraction.

I assume we are all defining sexual attraction as someone that we would have sex with. I have never found any man sexually attractive by that definition. Can I recognize an attractive man, yes, that does not mean I want to have sex with them.

The article posted defines bisexuality by physiological response to viewing sex, not by our choice of sexual partners or activities. I'm pretty sure my pupils would become more dilated by watching any attractive same-sex couple than by watching Honey Boo Boo's mom get plowed by whatever guy could manage to do that.

In many households, the pressure of heterosexuality is overwhelming. Some practicing homosexuals don't figure out their preference for same-sex relations until well after puberty. And often are shunned by their families.
