Early look at keepers - AL

The team in my sig ended up finishing 5th after winning (on a tiebreaker) last year. I traded Torres 6 in a dump deal but fell short of the money.

Keepers are only 1 year, so I can keep up to 10 of the following for 2019 only. Who ya got?

I'd happily flip Choi for a $15 JA Happ in a deep AL only. Not a lot of great options here. I'd keep EE, Piscotty, Soler, Keller and Gibson for sure, plus whichever DH you don't trade. I guess there's no harm in keeping Yolmer and Gonsalves but you're not really saving any money. I don't think I'd keep Barretto. What's the deal with Upton's knee? I guess you have to keep him but patellar tendinitis is scary.

I'm more in line with joncarlos. I think you get Barretto, Sanchez, and Gonsalves back for the same or less. Monitor Upton close. I like Happ at $15, if you can get him for Choi.

We had to push our auction back to next week so keepers are due today. We are up to 12 teams. Inflation is usually around 10%. Could be lower since we have 3 new teams with no keepers.

1B Encarnacion 26 - valuations range from 11-22
2B Barreto 10 - toss
3B YSanchez 10 - inclined to keep based on scarcity
SS Adames 5 - keep
OF Piscotty 14 - keep

I would keep Rogers in a league that deep. I don't think I like E5 enough to bet that big on him. I would keep Maldanado and Yolmer. I would throw back Barreto. They traded for Kendrys Morales and stuck him at 1B, which is an indicator of how much they hate Chad Pinder, and they hate Barreto even more than Pinder.

Ha! I ended up keeping everyone but Barreto. 1B is deep but I don't see a lot of guys who will earn $20+ so I kept Edwin. He was a former keeper in my mixed H2H league and I tried to turn the corner on him but he fell to me this season. Owning multiple shares means fewer boxscores to watch. :P

Our league tends to overspend on closers. I will be in on guys like Giles, Givens and Colome but I might end up with a few speculative guys, and for a buck Rogers could get 10 saves.
