There were five 400 yard games this past Sunday. There were only five 400 yard games during the entire decade of 1970-1979!

I saw a tweet tonight that the 2018 average NFL QB rating is higher than Joe Montana's career number.

on that note, I keep expecting even more ties - and nearly am getting them.

reducing the OT to 10 minutes and team refusals to throw the ball more than 10 yards tend to result in drives of 5 minutes or so while still not being in FG range. if they punt from there, the other team will dink and dunk until little time remains.

we have had a couple of ties already, and miraculously avoided several more. but more are coming
