The young man deserves a thread. Two cycles in just a couple of weeks. Worst non-trade of the year for me. I should have paid up for him! Hopefully it doesn't cost me a title.

The young man deserves to have his name spelled right (just kidding).

Only the 5th player in MLB history to hit for 2 cycles in the same season (last was.....Aaron Hill?)

He might be the leader in the clubhouse for the NL MVP Award.

It'll be interesting to see who's the toughest competition - I'd see the other top two as Baez and Story, given their defensive and offensive prowess.

80 TB and 32 RBI in the last 30 days.

I have been waiting for this season since I acquired him in 2013. I was persuaded by an rhd quip about the stroke of a future batting champion.

One thing that gets me this season is how many of his HR are to LCF.

For those in tight races, keep an eye on Yelich medical reports today. There's nothing substanital, but paranoia that his HBP on his elbow is not good.

Since the All-Star break, which is Yelich, which is JD Martinez, and which is Trout?

                  .328/.486/.710, 1.196 OPS, .382 ISO, 14 HR, 9 SB
                  .360/.440/.753, 1.193 OPS, .393 ISO, 23 HR, 9 SB
                  .333/.417/.595, 1.012 OPS, .262 ISO, 14 HR, 4 SB

Surprisingly, Yelich has a chance at the Triple Crown. He's got the batting title sewed up, tied w Carpenter in HR, 2 behind Baez in RBI.

My guess is #1 is Trout, #2 is Yelich and #3 is Martinez.

Yelich is like Kluber and Haap, maybe even more reliable the final two weeks. 3 years go i lost my H2H the final week because he went 8 for 9 in a double header. Yelich is a machine the final weeks of the season.

Milwaukee is playing a tie-breaker game. Does it count as season or post-season for stats? Can Yelich win the Triple Crown?
