If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

      • Living next door to a suspect, and then having your door busted in and being handcuffed while naked. Such fucking assholes. And yes this person wasn't targeted specifically for being Black but GTFO if you think any white woman would be treated this way.

For the first time, police body camera video reveals what an innocent woman said happened to her nearly two years ago: police officers wrongly entered her home with guns drawn and handcuffed her naked as she watched in horror.

WTF. After 2 years she should have been awarded a huge sum of money by now. She's deserves to be compensated for what they put her through. Even if it was a mistake.

            • One year since George Floyd was murdered by police. People around the world marking the anniversary of what ended up precipitating a worldwide movement of protest. Lots of massive changes and reform since then but definitely hoping to see more! RIP Mr. Floyd
More American children die by gunfire in a year than on-duty police officers and active duty military.

What massive changes? I've seen a few places start to defund police and divert their workload to other public services, but far more bullshit like Biden increasing police funding. Very little of substance was done that didn't further entrench police power and spit on citizens' rights.

                • Reminds me that this photo didn't take place all that long ago. Quite the juxtaposition, imo:

What are you celebrating when you claimed there have been "lots of massive changes"?

                    • A retired Lt. Col. was the keynote speaker of an event in Ohio, and was discussing the role of blacks in the formation of Memorial Day, but since the organizers felt that was "inappropriate" to their narrative, they cut his mic. Republicans are so disrespectful, especially to our military. Sad!

"HUDSON, Ohio — The Ohio American Legion is calling on the organizers of a Memorial Day ceremony to resign after they turned off a speaker’s microphone when the former U.S. Army officer began talking about how freed Black slaves had honored fallen soldiers soon after the Civil War.

Retired Army Lt. Col. Barnard Kemter said he included the story in his speech because he wanted to share the history of how Memorial Day originated.

But organizers of the ceremony in Hudson, Ohio, said that part of the speech was not relevant to the program’s theme of honoring the city’s veterans.

Cindy Suchan, chair of the Memorial Day parade committee and president of the Hudson American Legion Auxiliary, said it was either she or Jim Garrison, adjutant of the American Legion Post 464, who turned down the audio, the Akron Beacon Journal reported."

                          • Being 8 years old...

In Rutherford County, a juvenile court judge had been directing police on what she called “our process” for arresting children, and she appointed the jailer, who employed a “filter system” to determine which children to hold.

The judge was proud of what she had helped build, despite some alarming numbers buried in state reports.

Among cases referred to juvenile court, the statewide average for how often children were locked up was 5%.

In Rutherford County, it was 48%.
Judge Donna Scott Davenport oversees a juvenile justice system in Rutherford County, Tennessee, with a staggering history of jailing children. She said kids must face consequences, which rarely seem to apply to her or the other adults in charge.

                            • It's a damn good thing this guy was born white!

"A man who pleaded guilty to the rape and sexual assault of four teenage girls will avoid prison time after a New York state judge said time behind bars would be inappropriate.

Christopher Belter, now 20, entered a plea deal in 2019 in which he agreed to plead guilty to attempted first-degree sexual abuse, third-degree rape and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, according to court documents.
The charges stem from four separate incidents in 2017 and 2018 in Lewiston, New York, the documents state. He and the victims were all under 18 at the time.

Belter was placed on interim probation for two years with limits on his internet use and access to pornography, the documents state.

But he violated the terms of his probation, according to court documents. Judge Matthew J. Murphy denied him Youthful Offender status and ruled he'd be sentenced as an adult, the documents state.
Last Tuesday, Judge Murphy issued a sentence of eight years of probation and ruled Belter must register as a sex offender -- but said prison time would be inappropriate.

"I agonized. I'm not ashamed that to say that I actually prayed over what is the appropriate sentence in this case because there was great pain. There was great harm. There were multiple crimes committed in the case," Judge Murphy said, according to CNN affiliate WKBW. "It seems to me that a sentence that involves incarceration or partial incarceration isn't appropriate, so I am going to sentence you to probation."
