  • What happened to Steve?

Steve has taken some time off in the past but this felt longer than usual.

I went to see the last time he posted and when I click on his name no record/link found contact administrator.

This would seem like an Eldiablo move.

    Anyone know what happened?

Did you check his other 8 names too? Were they similarly deactivated?

He seems to be doing well based on the Facebooks.

His posts still exist, so no full ElD, but yeah, when you click on his name it says no user.
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert...

He asked me to delete his profile a couple of weeks ago. Said this stage of his life was over, that he wanted to move onto other things. I pleaded with him to just go off the grid instead but he declined, so after a couple of fruitless weeks where he didn't change his mind, I abided by his wishes and deleted his profiles (Steve & Midnight Otter). Oh well.

          Thank you for the explanation.

          He will be missed.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost in time, like tears...in rain. Time to die.

It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

He brought little bits of happiness to a lot of people here, I think. I know he did for me.

Absolutely. I'm sad that he's decided to move on from RotoJunkie, because his contributions definitely contribute to the happiness in these forums, but I respect his decision and encourage folks to friend him on Facebook if you haven't already. That said, it's starting to feel like a funeral in this thread, though, which I don't think is in keeping with the spirit of Steve.

This thread is otterly ridiculous. I'm waiting for someone "new" to the pen chime in with a "that'd be a great name for a band"...and all will be well again.

It's been a long time coming, but here's the real reason:

Hat tip to old friend Paul Sporer for retweeting it to get it on my timeline.

Steve is a cymbal for everything that is good about RotoJunkie,
