well, there's a real puncher's chance that he can be Max Muncy II - a late-blooming launch angle guy who can churn out a lotta HR.

he's 6-4, 235 and has 22 HR, 66 RBI in 75 games at AAA in 2018-19 (9 HR in 82 AB this year).

I'm assuming that few in a mixed league know what happened to him last year re the concussion, so there would be scant interest.

Is Max Muncy a reliably predictable outcome for anyone? I mean you can make that bet on a lot of AAAA types and you can hit now and then but it seems like you'd be playing a losing game overall.

it's all about return on investment. he'd require little of the latter, maybe very little. I can't think of a more extreme match of desperation and hotness in MLB. a lot of those "AAAA types" never even get a shot.

You are really all in. What are your expectations on stats if he plays the rest of the season for SFG? I just don't see much upside.

I can see .240 with 20 HR as a possibility. tough to get that off the scrap heap in deep leagues

He was drafted in my leagues. They're deep and I live in the Bay Area.

Williamson is nothing more than FAAB fodder. Bid cheap hope you win and then hope he hits. Certainly not going to bid a ton on him but some owners will. Basically there is a lot more of hoping with this type of player than the expectation that is needed. I got Gerber for $5 Sunday and that was wasted money. Probably will go out and waste more money on Williamson.
