Might be the homer in me, but Jesus Aguilar going 78-34-105 and .274/.351/.531 without a starting job for five weeks is my vote. But Mikolas has been amazing

Mikolas started throwing a little harder again, improved his command, and added a plus slider to his repertoire with Yomiuri in 2017. Good job by the Cardinals to recognize that and step up with the 2-year contract to sign him last winter.

Mikolas went for 13 in my auction last year amid spirited bidding.
I was mystified, but after the auction his buyer was supremely confident - and rightly so.

I feel as if that owner's last-place finish in 2018 means it's a tough league.
