Browns fourth-round WR Antonio Callaway was cited for marijuana possession on Sunday morning.
Callaway was also driving with a suspended license when he was stopped at 2:59 AM. The amount of marijuana in Callaway's possession was a "minor misdemeanor" under Ohio law, but that's not how the NFL is going to view it. Callaway failed a drug test at the Combine, and was only available in the fourth round thanks to a host of off-the-field issues at Florida. He's facing a league-mandated suspension. Callaway was also stopped the same day the Browns traded Corey Coleman. It's unclear if the Browns knew of Callaway's situation when they flipped Coleman to the Bills. The Browns' once-intriguing skill corps is rapidly thinning. For what it is worth, Callaway was still running with the 1s on Tuesday. Aug 7 - 3:20 PM

This is kind of a new one!

"Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks has apologized after being charged with insider trading by federal officials Wednesday.

Kendricks released a statement shortly after the announcement by U.S. Attorney William McSwain, admitting to insider trading and saying he accepts "full responsibility for my actions" and that he "knew it was wrong."

Kendricks allegedly made a profit of nearly $1.2 million from four separate investments tied to insider trading four years ago. Damilare Sonoiki, a television writer, also has been charged with assisting Kendricks in his investments."

    Busy day!

Vikings WR Cayleb Jones was arrested and charged with felony theft and misdemeanor domestic assault on Tuesday.

Jones isn't long for the NFL. Already slapped with a four-game suspension earlier in the offseason for violating the league's PEDs policy, this is just more fuel for the Vikings to cut the third-year UDFA. We'd be surprised if Jones was on the Vikings' roster by the time the weekend rolls around.

Reminds me of Colin Jost's line at 1:20 of this sketch:

Kendricks pleaded guilty to insider trading today and will be sentenced in December, where he faces 25 years in prison.

He won’t get anywhere near 25 years, but he’ll do some jail time.

NJ Advance Media's Ron Zeitlinger reports Giants backup QB Kyle Lauletta was arrested after almost striking an officer with his vehicle Tuesday morning.

There are not many details, but Zeitlinger reports Lauletta failed to obey a police officer's direction while driving to the practice facility on Tuesday morning and, in the process, almost struck an officer with his car. This sounds minor, but it is another disappointing development for the cratering Giants. There was some hope Lauletta would take over as the starting quarterback following the bye, but that seems unlikely at this point.
