Same post: "Look at the fact we hold each other to a higher standard than we do say, a presidential candidate. I know I'd take RJ members to task over something hypocritical yet I find a way to justify Sanders use of the system, the very system he wants to end, to forward his platform. I should at the very least hold him to the same standard I do say, OneJay--But I haven't."

In a rare moment of self-awareness, you admitted that you didn't understand the system you were railing against daily as being unfair to your candidate. You admitted the hypocrisy of Bernie attempting to using the DNC for his own ends. So where is your integrity and ethics since then? Oh, I forgot. As you have reminded us upon more than on occasion, you 'almost' let your child go to prison.

You remind us continually how much integrity you think you have. And how liberal you think you are (the "most liberal" person on the board). And how you think you are always right, and always make the right judgments about people and events when you don't have objective facts...just based upon those killer instincts. I guess I just don't like people who are always trying to convince everyone how great they are.

I understand that Bernie was your first true love, politically speaking, and that you will never get over him. But you have to get over the fact that I didn't pick that particular hill to die on. The fact that I saw first Bernie, then Hillary, as options preferable to the GOP was not less ethical than your "burn it all down" mentality. The fact that I figured out soon that Bernie wasn't going to win was because I was not a neophyte like you.

Your last post is typical. You lack facts, you spit personal vitriol. You claim to have the moral high ground, but you claim this in every conversation that you have. You don't admit you are wrong, even when it is proven. Shut up and deal the cards.
Yes I was ignorant in that I thought the system was fair, kudos to you for knowing it wasn't and being OK with that.

Yes at first I was conflicted at why Sanders would use a system to put himself in a position to be at the mercy of the system he wanted to change, but he explained his decision later in the primary and afterwards. I trust in people who are ethical in my mind even though I might not understand at the time. My trust in Sanders was and is well placed, you abandoned him for someone untrustworthy, either in error, ignorance or because your desire to win outweighed your moral compass.

To my daughter, and I thank you for bringing her into this as it just confirms my assertion that you are vindictive and retaliatory, I would have let her go to jail had the courts deemed it to be. I held her to the decisions of the court and to her credit, she made the right decisions going forward, but again thank you for bringing her into our personal beef.

You can question my integrity all you want, but the proof is here in black and white. As for being the most liberal, well as the one admitted socialist on the board, I am pretty sure that qualifies me as the farthest to the left. I never have tried to say that I am the greatest regarding anything and what you don't like is being called out on your shit.

This isn't and has never been about my support for Bernie and your choice to change to support Hillary, it's been about my demands for fair and ethical behavior in politics and your acceptance and defense of unethical practices to advance your platforms. I'll take being a neophyte with integrity over a veteran who compromise that integrity every day.

Your last post is typical. You've had a bug up your ass about me for years, that's cool, I can take it and like trump, you trying to discredit me to diminish my claims regarding your behavior in this forum is typical and honestly, I expect it.

BTW if I had wanted to get personal, I could have rather than just call you out for being a hypocritical dick.

In the future, please confine your bullshit to me as I'd prefer you leave my family out of it. If I recall correctly, that is one line we are expected not to cross in here.

Shut up and deal, now that's funny.

        • About your daughter...I have nothing to say about her, good or bad. Her story is relevant only because you have used it time and again in an effort to prove to us you are a paragon of integrity, which cannot be concluded from the tale.

I note with some amusement your repeated attempts to establish your integrity by stories which belie it. You continually run into life's moments when you believe you are treated "unfairly" and you overreact childishly. You justify by claiming 'integrity'.

You started this whole thing in Boxscore, and reignited it when you felt you were unfairly slighted at the Marble auction when I couldn't visit with you. And you don't understand why I didn't post in your "Complete Bernie" thread, when every few posts was one of your half-baked, amateurish lectures on the American political process?

I'll let you have the last word.

And thanks for being the adult in the room. My apologies for taking up so much of the thread with personal BS.

Seriously, I hope not. Most entertaining thing I've read on the board in moths.

                  • A couple of reports out now that Sean Spicer is out of a job.

He got dealt a bad hand, when he was sent out first thing to fabricate the inauguration crowd numbers. So he started out in a hole, but he didn't always help himself. Sometimes he dug it a little deeper. People who knew him say the guy behind the podium was a totally different guy.

The worst thing to me is that the supposed frontrunner for the gig is Laura Ingraham. I would honestly rather have Huckabee's kid.

"You know what's wrong with America? If I lovingly tongue a woman's nipple in a movie, it gets an "NC-17" rating, if I chop it off with a machete, it's an "R". That's what's wrong with America, man...."--Dennis Hopper

                        • So the Dem candidate in GA loses by about 3% in a very expensive state election.

I dont know anything about either candidate, but for all the negative Trump banter the R's still were able to maintain this seat.
It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years and we must stop it.

Two ways to look at it:

                            1) Seat has been Republican for about 40 years, so to even come close is a win for Democrats.

                            2) Nobody cares how close you get - either you win or you lose.

Here is a comment I saw from a website I frequent that has been following this for quite a while. It's a very Pro-Bernie/Anti Clinton site as will be obvious from the comment, so it is just one perspective.
Ossoff’s loss is a loss for the Clintonites, and therefore a win for Democrats, if (and only if) it loosens the Establishment’s death grip on the Party apparatus which, if the Party is concerned with survival, it should. Ossoff’s race was the do-over for 2016 that Clintonites sought: Like the post-convention Clinton campaign, Ossoff’s lavishly funded campaign appealed to wealthy, educated, suburban Republicans, especially women, and ran a technocratic (documentary filmmaker, staffer) candidate with a vacuous message. Ossoff even turned to the right, first running on “Make Trump furious,” then pivoting to run against government waste (!). When will Democrats learn that Republicans prefer real Republicans to fake ones? Oh, and of course Ossoff kicked the left: Never, ever #MedicareForAll. So the Clintonites got their do-over, and they lost. They did the same thing. Did they get a different result? No.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
