but Big Diner's last stranglehold is Jersey.

the rest, well, are collateral damages in places that didn't fully appreciate the beauty of 24-hour diners.

the best ones have dozens of pages of entrees, which is hilarious because there is almost nothing off the menu that they can't make.

I may hit a Jersey diner tomorrow in solidarity. I'm down to maybe 10 in a 25-mile radius, which may qualify it as an endangered species.

I meet with many clients in Jersey diners. The usual suspects are the Suburban Diner on Rt 17 in Paramus and the Tick Tock Diner on Rt 3 in Clifton.

Of course, my hometown of Brooklyn NY is the world HQ of diners, although sadly, many are closing because the real estate is worth far more to a developer. I believe most of the diners I went to as a kid/teen/young adult are now gone: the Kings Plaza Diner, the Floridian, El Greco, the Foursome, & Martin's, all gonzo.
