  • Can we work on getting the Technical Glitches fixed?

    4th time I tried to post this....can we get this taken care of please? Now it's logging me out evertime I switch a thread...

    Fixing will cost money. I haven't collected enough to pay for 2023 standard fees yet. That said, it is my responsibility, but I can't handle it out of pocket until February.

      What would be the cost to upgrade vBulletin? 4.2.5 is no longer supported and I assume an upgrade would fix this problem. It looks like a couple hundred. I bet we could put together a side hat pass for an upgrade.

        I don't know the exact cost, but am ballparking a few hundred based on other, similar experiences. The need for maintenance was mentioned here Paying the Bills (rotojunkiefix.com), but at least so far, it has not generated any extra generosity.

          Quick follow-up, clearly many are not currently active on the site, the off-season is always slower. I'll send out an email to everyone, maybe that will accelerate things?

            I know some people gave up trying to get logged in. This is a big enough issue that if it isnt solved then... well it will solve itself since the user base will be gone.

            I've offered to assist a few time and still willing.

                I posted this last summer in the graybox thread. But Ken said it better than I did.

                  I've started poking around and familiarizing myself with the site, finding some good nuggets - nothing definitive yet but on track.

                  So far my bill is $0 and at $0 / hour I expect that to continue.

                    Regarding a "potential" vbulletin upgrade, I've found this documentation



                    You will need to log-in to the Members' Area using the Customer Number and Customer Password that was emailed to you when you purchased your license.

                    Once logged in, you will see a list of Current Licenses. For each active license that you own, there will be a Download vBulletin 5 Connect link that you can click.



                    So..... anyone have a customer number and password to PM me?

                          Posting today for the first time in a month without issue.

                          I hope its a sign that something has been fixed? I'll update if my phone still has the gray box.

                            I just tried out changing back to the standard editor from the enhanced editor, and it was still grey box when set to standard.
