$20 Abreu for a $20 Vlad Jr.?

What do you think of this, in a vacuum? I'm so enamored with Vlad Jr. I live in NH and watched him a TON with Double-A Fisher Cats, but the other part of me is like "one in the hand is worth two in the bush"


Would you trade a $20 Vlad Jr. for a $20 Jose Abreu on a competitive team right now?

I'd need more for giving up the future years of Vlad. Abreu has a ceiling that's pretty easy to predict, and I think Vlad should be able to top that one day (but probably not this year). If I'm dealing Vlad, I'd want at least a 1st round talent for him, and that's not Abreu.

I think everyone would project that Vlad will be significantly better than Abreu next year and following years.

Are we even sure he's not better this year? Very small sample so far, but I'm not confident that Abreu is better than Vlad in 2019.

This one isn't particularly hard for me. I'd easily pass on Abreu, keep Vlad.
