My initial thought is the first six plus Tulowitzki. Would extend Merrifield to $18, Snell probably to $11. Would not extend others.

Trade: I can probably flip Blake Snell for Miguel Andujar $8 (going into year 2). SP is very very shallow - and Andujar can’t field. But shouldn’t I jump on it if I can??

Is Marco Gonzalez really a keeper? Man the AL is terrible. I don't think it's crazy to keep Ohtani, but might be more fun to throw him back and get him on a new contract. Do you start 2 catchers? Swihart is tempting.

I think I would roll the dice on Tulo. If he's healthy, he should get 300 ABs.

I also think I'd keep Tyler White over Marco. He should get most of the DH job and he was great last year. And 1B is not good.

I do not trade snell, and add one year to $11

I may or may not extend merrifield. If I chose to extend, I would give just one year to $13.

I throw everyone beyond your top 6 back into the pool, fairly certain you can get any of them for same or lower prices.

Snell and Sale for $47 dollars is bargain. I would give Snell the year.

I would give Merrifield a year. No other raises than these two.

I would keep Ohtani as he does not appear to be in his option year.

I would keep Tulo over White. SS rather than 1B or DH and save the 8 bucks.

Thanks everyone. Art says don’t trade Snell for Andujar. Is that the consensus?

JC - yes we start two catchers. May have ST to see if Swihart is their guy.

Gregg - Ohtani is not option year, but will he really go for more? And clogging DH is costly.

I wouldn't trade Snell for Andujar. I would take a flyer on White if you think he would go for more. None of the seventh options seems good, but in AL only 12-team, they all have a pulse, so there is that.
