    20 lbs for virgonomic!

I'm at 197.8, for a modest 4.6 lb weight loss, but I'd have gained weight without this thread.

Did a 2-mile hike around my neighborhood yesterday, up and down a couple of hundred feet in spots. Was doing 4 miles last summer, but hey it's something. Still thinking I am up for a spring renaissance...

        Start: 216
        Today: 212.5

Still making steady progress after a high of 220 that I hit 6 weeks back.

Over 2 months sober now, and firmly believe that eliminating those liquid calories is the main reason I'm shedding pounds.

        Good job, all.

          228.5/214.5/210

Slow and steady....no big loss weeks but no extra exercise at all and I think I can keep up with this "program" with no problem. Hope to see 190 by the all-star break..maybe 180 by seasons end.

            Excellent work, fuhrdog.
Yeah, each time I do this I pick up a couple of better permanent habits - virtually no Dr Pepper, french fries, or post 8 pm eating; drinking more water, etc. Still have my vices, but am trying to increase the virtues..

I have plenty of things I could do to help out my progress as still way, way too much beer...still eat my main meal around 8-9 p.m. but I have changed my recipes in small ways that has made this kinda easy. Nothing earth shattering...instead of 1 pound of hamburger in a recipe...I replaced 1 pound of 85% with 1/2 pound of 93% and cut out about 600 calories. Just one of many ways I have made fattening dishes much more low cal. I wrote down everything I ate for a couple weeks before I started this and I was getting over 3000 cals per day when you added liquid and food. I've cut that to 2000 and it is working great and I'm getting plenty to eat.

Well, I've had a frustrating two weeks, and I set myself up for disappointment next week as well with a bad night last night. I'm sure it will show up on the scale next week. Weather looks to be turning (50 tomorrow), so I'm planning on a walk tomorrow after work. It will be nice to get outside. Hopefully, the exercise will help. It'll be interesting to see what fitness I have lost from last fall.

i have epiphanies like that all the time. for example i was watching a basketball game today and realized pom poms are like a pair of tits. there's 2 of them. they're round. they shake. women play with them. thus instead of having two, cheerleaders have four boobs.
