We have a 12 team, NL only league. The league fee is $260 and transactions are $1 each. Average teams pay $350 for the season, though the most active owners pay $400. Top 4 teams get paid, with winning team taking home around $2,000. NOTE - a few years ago, we instituted penalties for finishing in the bottom 4 to penalize teams that had fire sales too early.
The basic league rules are:
- Auction draft (260 budget)
- Traditional lineups - Two catchers, 5 OFer, MI, CI, 9 pitchers, etc.
- Rotisserie style. 5 offensive categories (BA, runs, RBI, HRs, SBs) and 5 pitching categories (wins, WHIP, ERA, Ks and saves)
- We normally do the draft the first Saturday of March Madness - we used to do it live in Vegas, but more and more people are travelling. We use CBSSports for our league website and draft live there.
