Cain for McCutchen?

I have been offered a $14 Andrew McCutchen for a $22 Matt Cain. I don't have a great pitching staff, so I am hesitant to make this deal.

Do it now. I did not even look at your roster, but McCutchen may be one of the most valuable players in a 4x4 league.

Also, the NL is going to have several new studs in Lee and Greinke, so I assume you can find a stud SP if needed.

Yup - leave now and do that deal if you haven't already. It'll mean you're shopping for more pitching at the auction, but you'll have a really impressive hitting backbone.

Thanks. Interestingly unanimous. I won't get anything near a $22 Cain in the draft ... Lee will go for $45; we're in Philly. Halladay went for $48 last year. Probably going to lean toward an offensive-based team ... I won with that strategy, but I'll spend a little more $ on pitching this year since I've got some tied up already.

I told the other owner I would accept this; now, we'll see if he's really willing to do it.
