The meetings were surreal. Lots and lots of people in a huge hotel lobby. Baseball people in general are a really amazingly kind and helpful bunch of people. I suppose I shouldn't have expected any different, but sometimes from all the arguments online in sabermetric quarters I guess I had gotten the idea it was otherwise. It was very cool to meet a large number of people that I had previously known only online.
