  • Hey Batter, Batter. Saa-wiing Batter!

    Bueller...Bueller.
Some people say winning isn't everything. I say those people never won anything.

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

Some people are like Slinkies, they are not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.

I imagine there are a ton of fans out there now who have no idea who Claudell Washington is, much less Paul Zuvella.

I wonder if the full game exists on video somewhere ? Would be cool to see just for the movie connection.

No, I'M old. I graduated from Xavier University in 1977, a classmate of some unknown commuter student named John Boehner (whom no one I've contacted remembers at all).

Cubs 1B Leon Durham is mentioned in the article. "Bull" Durham was a freshman at my HS when I was a senior. Everyone knew him, though, as he was taller and wider than about 95% of the 2500 or so students at our school. Really nice guy, possibly because he knew he didn't HAVE to be mean.
