  • Different FF League - Seeking Strategy Suggestions

I've been in a fantasy football league for a long time.

There are two components to this league - Head to head AND overall.

H2H - no yardage pts - TDs rush/rec = 6 pts + yardage of TD where 1pt=10yd (down to the yard)
    Pass TDs = 3 pts + yardage
etc. - basically scoring only. You do get 2 pt bonuses for 100 yd rush/rec games and 300 yd pass gms

Overall is judged on 12 categories - Comp %, Pass Yd, TD-INT ratio, rush yds, rec, rec yds, Total TDs (incl D), Kick pts, FG %, Turnovers recovered, Sacks, Pts Allowed by Defense only

    It's a 12-team league, 16 players deep. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 K, 1 D. This is an auction league - you get $200 to fill your roster.

The overall aspect almost nullifies the need for consistency. In 15+ years, we've only had the same owner win h2h and overall a few times.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
"Igor, would you give me a hand with the bags?"
"Certainly. You take the blonde and I'll take the one in the turban!"

I think it puts an onus on the QB from winning teams more because they tend to have better completion % & TD/INT ratios. I don't know if you can take the gamble on a team that throws from behind a lot because that tends to be into nickle and dime coverage which leads to INC & INT.
