Would not surprise me one bit if Newton opened the year as the starter.

Yeah Newton has his flaws but he's had what... a dozen practices? I can't see him being on the bench past week four even if Clausen is the week one starter.

Wouldn't surprise me if Newton does ok this year. However, with no off-season, I'm gonna temper my expectations a tad.

I say he throws for 2,200 with 16 TD and same number of INT's (and add in another 400 yards rushing plus 2-3 rushing TD's).
