  • David Bowie Draft Discussion Thread

Ok, in case you haven't noticed how much fun us participants are having in these music drafts, here is another chance to join in the fun. If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

I won't be around for part of the time this weekend, what with the holiday, and I suspect that could be true for others as well. Perhaps the best official start date would be Tuesday 7/5.

That would be awesome since it'll give me some time to brush up.

Just listened to Hunky Dory and Heroes all the way through for the first time. While I doubt I'll be picking anything from the second half of Heroes, it would make pretty good sleeping music

I was a Bowie fanatic back in the day; had all his LPs, saw him in concert four different tours, read all the many biographies. I'm pretty solid -- not quite Erik-level -- on all matters Bowie up till the mid-80s, after "Let's Dance". The final divorce came at the "Glass Spider" concert at the Meadowlands in 1987(?), more on that later.

That tour must have been a fiasco. Everyone I know who saw it hated it.

Hey fellas, my grandma died last night so I'm going to be traveling from the 4th until the 8th. So hopefully we can start when I get back. A few more days to brush up on your Bowie.

I was there and actually liked it - the show was crazy loud

                      possibly the most bizarre lineup

                      Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam
                      Squeeze
Dave Bowie (with Peter Frampton on guitar)

Do you remember the rain? POURING. Well, at least the night I went. I think there were two shows, here's a look at the first, wait for the fan comments at the end:

Is this the list of owners, or the order in which we will draft? I'm just asking, because the last two drafts....you know...I'm not saying...I'm just saying....

I've got about sixty Bowie songs that I really need to have on my roster. Can I trade some of my Dylan songs for draft picks?
