    Weather is properly Irish today.

    Rain, gales, generally miserable.

the queen last week, the US pres this week, who's on the agenda for next week?
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

A few years ago, I landed in Philly at the same time as President Bush. My advice is to stay away from the airport. They may shut just about everything down until POTUS has cleared the area.

The elderly gent who will be greeting the Obamas as they get off the plane in Ireland will be none other than US Ambassador to Ireland Dan Rooney, who also has a side gig as owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dan and Barrack are good buds.

Just watched his speech in Dublin. Content was so-so but the oratory was fantastic.
