  • More Qatar World Cup Allegations

2 more members of the FIFA Ex-Co are opening accused of taking $1.5m bribes in exchange for votes.

Everyone is talking about the members who are accepting the bribes ... why is no-one investigating the Qatar team who offered them?

FIFA's already-tarnished reputation today received another battering after fresh allegations - including of World Cup bid bribes - were made about six members of the organisation's executive committee.

Millions of dollars were paid in bribes, according to previously unpublished conversations key figures connected with Fifa held with undercover reporters

... the good news ... FIFA is investigating matters

    This just in....water is wet.

The very, very best part of the timing of this is that earlier this week FIFA announced that they were giving $28m to Interpol over the next decade to fight match fixing and illegal betting.

You have to give them credit for the F-you in-your-face duplicity and hypocrisy, you really do...

Not to diminish FIFA or your game, but isn't it just assumed that these things are rigged, a la the Olympics host city choices? I can't imagine that Sepp Blatter wants to forever play second fiddle to the deceased Iron Horse of sports corruption, Juan Antonio Samaranch, in the "Richest Bastard In Sports Admin" competition.

As long as no notable group of FA's grow some stones and tell FIFA to get bent, nothing will change. Prop's to the British press for staying after it. For the world's game, the lack of press on these crooks is shocking.

The man is a genius-- he shook down Qatar for millions of dollars going into his numbered accounts, now he gets to re-do it and shake down Japan, Dubai, South Korea and whoever else is willing to pay through the nose for this. Maybe we should make him head of the IMF...

Well, now things are really starting to get interesting. With the farce of an election scheduled on June 1st, the "Ethics" committee is going to be quite busy until then. Bringing Jack Warner down alone ( CONCACAF head, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago when the real one is away- no lie, blatant crook ) would make me shout with glee alone.

Fifa in crisis after claims against Jack Warner and Mohamed bin Hammam

Would have posted yesterday, but was suffering through the Red Sox beat down of the Indians, better than being at work anyway.

Fifa has opened ethics proceedings against its president, Sepp Blatter.

Brilliant ... Blatter moves against his rival by bringing corruption charges, and Hammam tells what he knows about Blatter.

Putin has now come out saying that he'd vote for Blatter.

Tells you all you need to know really...

The 'ethics' committee is due to release its findings in about 20 minutes, not expecting much, a few heads roll and a bunch of white wash.
