I am heading to Atlantic City tomorrow for a three weeks stay. I hope to make it to NYC and if I do, I am meeting up with Hammer anyone else in the area is welcome! I'm gonna be having Beers with Hoyos in jersey so again, anyone who'd like to join is welcome. I'm also going to be in Philly for at least one day and again--Drop me a line if you're interested in meeting up!

Now I know some of you can't spare the time or just prefer not to, so should I find myself stag and never having been to the North East, what are the "To Do' lists for NYC, AC and Philly?
If I whisper my wicked marching orders into the ether with no regard to where or how they may bear fruit, I am blameless should a broken spirit carry those orders out upon the innocent, for it was not my hand that took the action merely my lips which let slip their darkest wish. ~Daniel Devereaux 2011

have you been to any of the cities before?
    that's key

AC has many legendary food places not in the casinos. not sure you should bother ever eating in those if you can avoid it.

Foodie Anthony Bourdain (who is from North Jersey) picked these AC places on his show in 2015

    Atlantic City, NJ

The Knife & Fork Inn – The former drinking and dining club established in 1912, witness to many Boardwalk Empire story lines.

    Wedge salad
Pretzel-crusted swordfish over lump crab meat

Dock’s Oyster House – The seafood and steakhouse opened in 1897.

    Crab cakes
Whole lobster stuffed with “crab imperial”

Baltimore Grill – Old-school red sauce Italian-American joint serving pizza until 3am. 2800 Atlantic Avenue.

    Spaghetti and meatballs
    Pizza
    Beer

    ..................

I'm partial to the Irish Pub on St. James Place (yes, all of the Monopoly game streets were picked from AC roads) for a friendly vibe and homey grub.

Tony Baloney's on Oriental Avenue has "creative red & white pizzas plus subs, wraps & cheesesteaks."

on the "9 best inexpensive places in AC" list include

    Maria's Luncheonette on Atlantic Ave
Tony's Baltimore Grill on same street
Gilchrist Restaurant on Rhode Island Ave (said to have the best breakfast)
Boneyard Bar and Grill on Virginia Ave for sandwiches
White House Subs on Mississippi Ave also legendary

GITH, if you haven't been to AC, I think it could be your kind of town - even moreso in winter. the denizens there have tales to tell, and a gruff but interesting way about them. they are survivors. show up in August, and the place is mobbed with fair-weather fans. you'd like the diehards better for sure.

list your "events" here once you have something lined up. I might be able to turn up.....

This is my first time to the east coast and AC. I stopped into the Baltimore grill tonight, Tony's bar actually. It is apparently part of the grill. Going to be my go to hang out for three weeks as I'm staying a block away. I didn't have anything, but am sure I'll be enjoying thier pizza soon. Thanks for the information and I'll let you know what my availability is and hopefully, we'll chat for a few.

Well Jude, you're right. AC is much more my kind of town than Vegas. I checked out Maria's, which was a short walk from my house, then hit the Boardwalk and set up at Baltimore grill for the game and a pie. Excellent.

          Should be fun!
