  • 2011 Official RJ Weight Loss Challenge: Jan 31 Weigh-In

Down 3.8 this week, despite a night at a cottage with coworkers that saw beers, chili, nachos, pie, bacon & eggs. We did hit the lake for 1.5h of hockey though. Lots of fruits and veggies yesterday and back to the regime this week.

can't find my last week's weight, but no progress. too much work and family stuff, would have been a lot worse if not for this discipline. I'll keep making modest gains overall, I believe.

Unreal. I went on a trip back home for over 2 weeks, and the scale there led me astray.

The good news is that I've kept up with the workouts. The bad news is that I haven't done anything in regards to diet.

I would have thought that quitting drinking alone would make the weight just fly off me. Oh well, need to re-dedicate myself now.

I forgot to mention that I ordered 30d worth of Nutri System meals last night. I will probably spread them over 2 months, but February is going to be a busy month for me and NS will be in line with the smaller portions I am eating. $8.88/d seemed like a no-brainer.

Not surprised that I'm up .4 lbs. After 6.8 lbs. in three weeks, I anticipated my body saying, "I'm gonna take some of that back this week." Hopefully next week will bring me in around 260.

i have epiphanies like that all the time. for example i was watching a basketball game today and realized pom poms are like a pair of tits. there's 2 of them. they're round. they shake. women play with them. thus instead of having two, cheerleaders have four boobs.

I'll join in. After 8 years in the Great White North which saw me go from 155 to 200, I've decided to get back to my svelte self. I started New Years Day, hit the Gym 3-4 time s a week, have cut my beer consumption by about 75% and am avoiding carbs when I can. My goal is 165 so 200/181/165 as of today. I've shed 19 lbs just by getting of my ass and moving around on a regular basis, oh and NOT drinking 5-7 beers 5 nights a week. Gl to the rest of ya!

Yes, that is what tends to happen.

The norm is an average of 2 lb per week overall, which may not sound like much but it's about 25 lbs in 3 months which I have done and it rocks.

One of the best triggers is a continued focus on this thread. I noted earlier, a bad week pending for me with work and family stuff, but I didn't completely let go, either. I found choices that lessened the damage.

A pound lost is great, and a pound not gained is not terrible either, in a given week....

My hope is always between .5-2.0 for the week. At least to average that. I'm waiting for the snow to melt to be able and get outside and walk...I really miss those walks...great for the body, mind and spirit.
