  • Binge watching

What old programs would you devote a day or more to watching. This assumes you have, say, Netflix or similar. That way the program is commercial free and pauseable. Some candidates:

    Mad Men
    The Shield
    The Sopranos
    Lost
    Dexter
    LA Law
    X Files
    Sliders
    MASH
    Bewitched
    Buffy
    Bob Newhart

That ought to cover most of the range.

    Homocide: Life on the Street
    Nash Bridges
    The Pretender
    MASH
    Night Court
    Cheers
    Psych
    Dirty Jobs
    Mythbusters (doing it now)
    The Big Bang Theory

I could probably do the Newhart, just to remember how great that show was.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

      Hill Street Blues
      Dr. Who
      CSI
      ER

      I second The Pretender

Several other shows I might watch the first season.

      One for ElD, Firefly.

I just don't think I could binge watch old shows, especially those that have no connecting theme.

          Breaking Bad
          Narcos
          Daredevil
          Jessica Jones
          Rome
          Deadwood
          Homeland

I just binged Narcos and Making a Murderer, both highly recommended.

Game of Thrones (haven't seen season 5 yet)

I have already binged on these four for my 2nd viewing:

            The Wire
            Breaking Bad
            It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
            Six Feet Under

Not too many others that I think would be worth it, but here are a handful I'd consider:

Rome (short and intense, perfect candidate)
Mad Men (it's slower pacing would make bingeing difficult I'd imagine)
Deadwood (the ending was so infuriating not sure I'd want to watch again)
            Dexter (ditto)
Sopranos (curious how this has held up since it brought in the golden age of TV IMO)

MASH was great and huge during its time. I wonder if there is someone out there who can watch it for the first time and see if it still stands the test of time.
It could be binge watched because it did have a time structure

I got DVDs of all the Emma Peel episodes of The Avengers. I would binge watch if I could get the chance.

                Twin Peaks.
