Have you read Crichton's Next? Very interesting book, talking about mixing animal and human genes. There was actually a morality treatment that was accidentally discovered in the story. unfortunately it had a rather nasty side effect.

perhaps some scientist will give a beast human genes, or turn a man into a beast and give him a dogtag with "666" on it
